rant in two weeks and we won. So this is DEFINITELY NOT a rant.
It IS an informative email detailing the specifics of this weeks Tailgate which features Kansas City.
KC is known for one thing - BBQ.They founded the KCBS - Kansas City Barbecue Society- and sponsor a crap load of BBQ Competitions.They probably are known for some other shit too but does it matter? I'm sure Kris Kross made other songs besides JUMP, JUMP....but can you name one?
SOOOOOOOO......This weekend, all you BBQ enthusiasts....bring your MEAT. Rub it. Inject it. Trim it. And then smoke the shit out of it.
Brisket, Ribs, Butts - it's all welcome. But the brisket is rarely featured at the Tailgate so it's encouraged.
Let's see that smoke ring. See what kind of bark you got. You gotta a thin or thick sauce? Don't be shy. Get you a piece a meat, a brown liquor drink, keep that fire at 225 and sit with it like an expectant father in the waiting room - excited, anxious, drunk and hopeful that hunk of protein won't be a disappointment like you were.
So bring your "A" game BBQ'ers - maybe you'll be the next Myron Mixon or Johnny Trigg. But worst case....you'll just be full.
